To contact sellers of shops listed at $5000 or more, buyers must complete Exchange's buyer verification process.
Buyer verification allows you to add some information about yourself to your buyer profile before contacting a seller. Once you've completed buyer verification, your messages to sellers will indicate that you've completed the verification step, which will increase your response rate from high-value sellers.
There are two tiers of buyer verification:
Tier 1: Buyer Profile
Completing your buyer profile will allow you to contact any listing that is listed at $20,000 or less.
Your buyer profile is used to give sellers a bit of information about you when you first contact them.
In order to complete your buyer profile, you must agree to the conditions that you are financially able to purchase the business you're contacting, and that you're willing to sign a Non Disclosure Agreement if needed.
Tier 2: Connect your Linkedin profile
Connecting your Linkedin profile will allow you to contact listings of any price.
You must have an active Linkedin profile to complete this step. Your profile will then be made available to sellers when you contact them.
Having this information attached to your profile is very valuable for sellers of listings with higher prices. It creates transparency with the seller and will help you complete the sale quicker by creating trust.
Currently, connecting a Linkedin profile is the only way to verify your account to Tier 2 status.
