On Exchange, you can browse with confidence knowing that the revenue and traffic data in listings are verified by Exchange. Most of the data you see on listings cannot be edited by sellers and reflects only sales that Exchange is able to verify.
How does this work?
When a seller lists on Exchange, their verifiable sales history from the past 12 months is automatically pulled. Only sales that have been whitelisted are included. This means that sales that were made from sources outside of Shopify are not included in the data.
This is what the seller sees when creating their listing. These numbers cannot be modified.
Currently, Exchange does not verify the seller's profit margins or average monthly profit. This information is supplied by sellers. Only the information highlighted here can be modified by sellers:
Before you make a purchase, it's always a good idea to do your due diligence during your inspection period to confirm the the information they've supplied is accurate.
Sellers may claim to have profits from sales made outside of Shopify, because these sales cannot be verified by Exchange, always ask for screenshots or temporary access to third-party sales drivers.
