Exchange can help with the transfer of account ownership and any questions buyers might have about migrating to Shopify. However, because the sale itself is arranged privately between sellers and buyers, we can not assist with refunds for stores after the Exchange. All Exchange transfers are final.
If you've purchased a store on Exchange and you're looking to return it to the previous owner, you'll need to reach out to the seller to arrange this.
What can you do to avoid refunds?
Before your purchase, always make sure to ask the seller any questions you might have about the business to ensure that it's the right fit for you.
You should always pay the seller through Escrow.com to take advantage of their inspection period. The inspection period is a length of time (between 1-30 days) during which you can decide whether or not you'd like to accept the assets or return them to the seller and receive your payment back.
